My first foray into the coding world during the COVID-19 pandemic was this hackathon. Securing a cash prize and receiving a notable mention opened up this burning hunger within me to learn more.

While exploring the tech world, I simultaneously also uncovered my love for writing. Participating in this competition revealed my talent for putting thoughts to paper, honing my writing skills and later even inspired me to start my own blog.

Venturing into data analysis, I used publicly available data and Python to derive insights in the education sector, publishing them in a blog format.

Winning my first hackathon fuelled my passion for coding, leading me to complete Angela Yu’s comprehensive web development course which covered everything from the basic HTML, CSS to React and MongoDB.

This competition encouraged me to brainstorm solutions for the lack of females in STEM, laying the foundation for FemTech. It gave me an opportunity to really think about the problem and allowed me to come up with a solution that nips the issue at its bud.

During this internship, I gained experience in software development, document management, and collaborative coding projects.

Building on ideas from Sustainathon, I transformed my vision into reality by launching FemTech, an initiative to empower and encourage the participation of women in STEM.
